Francesco's and X-Men (For Riley)
Tristan pays extra attention to detail as he dresses for his date with Riley. He doesn't want to come across overly formal, but he doesn't want to dress too casual, either. He decides upon an old favorite of his, an outfit that is both fashionable and comfortable at once.
He has a bouquet of passionflowers and a box of caramel-filled chocolates by his side as he approaches Riley's door, taking care not to breathe in any general direction of plant, the image of Val's displeasure all but burned into his mind.
Taking a deep breath, he works up the courage to ring the door bell after standing nervously before the door for a good few moments.

When they hear a knock at the door, Riley just barely beats Val, shoving her sister into her room and closing the door--a brief obstacle, but enought of one to get Riley out the door quickly. She opens the front door and rushes out, slamming the door behind her while almost running smack dab into Tristan.
"Hi. Sorry. I'm saving us from my sister," she beams up at him. "You look handsome."

"You look incredible, wow," he says, admiring the dress and how it just suits Riley so well. He gets so lost in thought he almost misses her warning him about her sister.
"So is that a hint that we should leave now?" He asks with a teasing grin. He blushes when she calls him handsome. "Thank you. I definitely tried."
no subject
"Probably. I kind of pushed her into her room," she laughs.
no subject
"Yes, we better run then, right?" He asks, enjoying her laugh.
no subject
"Run's an understatement." She grins and starts walking along the path of their cottage, waiting until their clear of the house before saying anything. "What have you got there?" She gestures at the gifts in his hands.

"As a chef and owner of a bakery, I feel that I would be remorse in my duties if I didn't cheer you on in eating a chocolate before dinner," he says.
no subject
"This is why you're my favourite baker." Riley pops a chocolate into her mouth, closing her eyes to enjoy it. "I love these so much. Do you want one?" She offers the box.
no subject
"I'm your favorite baker? Aw, thank you," he ducks his chin to hide his growing blush, looking up at her with an even brighter smile. "Oh, thank you. I'd love one," he says, picking a piece from the box. "I can never say no to chocolate."

"Amazing pies with magic? Of course you are. I always like when people use magic to help others." Riley smiles at him when he grabs a chocolate from her, thinking he's really too handsome for words.
no subject
"Same, which is why you're my favorite witch," he beams at her. "You're brilliant and you use that brilliance to help others. Also, you're the nicest person I know."

Riley laughs, but she's still appreciative of his words. "I know a few people who would disagree, but thank you."
no subject
"Well, they're wrong and I'll gladly tell them so," he grins, laughing with her.
no subject
"Sure you wanna tell my sister she's wrong?" she winks at him.
no subject
"...on second thought, I can keep it to myself," he agrees, blushing.
no subject
"Exactly. You can tell Mr. Cod though."
no subject
"Oh, I will definitely tell him, certainly."
